I just returned from Jam Cruise a few days ago and I still have a permagrin from the experience. The craftiness and creativity of everyone on board blew me away. Enjoy.

Here’s a fun and easy Thanksgiving craft that the little one and I made just in time for Thanksgiving. What is she most thankful for? Her Belle doll of course. Ahhhh to be a 5 year old:) Simply Vintagegirl was our source of inspiration. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I was looking for a summery craft to do with the little one (Who’s 5 now by the way. I guess not so little any more:), and found a tutorial for these adorable paper towel butterflies. It’s a fun project that you could do with kids of any age. All you need is paper towels, food coloring, and pipe cleaners. I’m not sure if my little girl had more fun making them or having butterfly races afterwards:)

Want to make some of your own? Check out Make it and Love it blog for a great tutorial.

When summer time comes around there’s only one place I want to be……Phish tour! This summer started out with a bang with Phish’s summer opener at Bethel Woods. My good friend Steph and I had a great time selling Fishman Weezy Bands on lot. A super sweet customer, Rosie, snapped a pic. Good times:)

I’ll be selling Weezy Bands at a few more Phish shows this summer. Here’s where you can find me:
Friday June 10th @ Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ
Sat. June 11th and Sun. June 12 @ Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD
Fri. July 1st- Sun. July 3rd @ Super Ball IX in Watkins Glen, NY
Not going to any of these shows? You can always get a Fishman Weezy Band at my Etsy shop.
And now I’ll bid you a fond farewell with a pic of the guy who ran onstage at Bethel. I hope he enjoyed his 15 minutes of fame:)

Happy Easter everyone! It was my job to bring cupcakes to this year’s Easter party. Cupcakes are tasty, but I really wanted to do something different this year. I’ve been seeing blogs featuring cake pops for over a year now and thought I’d give them a try.
What is a cake pop you say? Basically its a mixture of cake and icing dipped in candy melts. You can find the tutorial by the creater of cake pops here on Bakerella: http://www.bakerella.com/hope-these-put-a-smile-on-your-face/ Take some time to browse her blog. People get really creative with these things.
Was this a quick and easy project? No. Was it super fun for the little and me to do together? Yes! What 4 year old wouldn’t love mushing together cake and icing with their bare hands?
Did you do anything creative for Easter? Please share in the comments. I’d love some ideas for next year.

This morning I am recovering from an amazing weekend in NYC. I got to see the city and go to Phish concerts 3 days in a row! My Fishman Weezy Bands sold out in one day. I still get excited when I see someone wearing one:)
One of my favorite podcasts, This Week On Lot, gave Weezy Bands a shout out. If you’re a Phish phan you gotta check them out. They discuss jam bands and the lot scene. Good stuff:)
Lastly I got to go fabric shopping in the city. What an experience. Rolls upon rolls of fabric jammed in to tiny spaces. I had to dig, but I found some bold unique fabrics. I can’t wait to share them with you soon.
Hope you all had a great New Year’s Eve and best wishes for an amazing New Year.

If you’ve never made toffee before don’t be scared:) This was my first time and it was super easy. Keep a close eye on your candy thermometer and you’ll be fine.
Ingredients
- 2 cups butter
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup finely chopped almonds
Directions
-In a large heavy bottomed saucepan, combine the butter, sugar and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the butter is melted. Allow to come to a boil, and cook until the mixture becomes a dark amber color, and the temperature has reached 285 degrees F (137 degrees C). Stir occasionally.
-While the toffee is cooking, cover a large baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
-As soon as the toffee reaches the proper temperature, pour it out onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the chocolate over the top, and let it set for a minute or two to soften. Spread the chocolate into a thin even layer once it is melted. Sprinkle the nuts over the chocolate, and press in slightly. Putting a plastic bag over your hand will minimize the mess.
-Place the toffee in the refrigerator to chill until set. Break into pieces, and store in an airtight container.
**Recipe courtesy of FunkySeaMonkey on Allrecipes.
**I made two changes. I didn’t use any almonds. I also used milk chocolate instead of semi sweet.

Introducing the Fishman dress wedding garter. A sweet bride to be and fellow Phish phan requested one so she could include her favorite band in her wedding. For the non phans out there this is the dress the drummer wears to the concerts:

I used a wedding garter tutorial on Mauby’s blog for the basics. I think it turned out great. Wish I would have thought of this for my wedding:) Congrats to the bride to be and I hope you have a lovely wedding.

{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
