This morning I am recovering from an amazing weekend in NYC. I got to see the city and go to Phish concerts 3 days in a row! My Fishman Weezy Bands sold out in one day. I still get excited when I see someone wearing one:)
One of my favorite podcasts, This Week On Lot, gave Weezy Bands a shout out. If you’re a Phish phan you gotta check them out. They discuss jam bands and the lot scene. Good stuff:)
Lastly I got to go fabric shopping in the city. What an experience. Rolls upon rolls of fabric jammed in to tiny spaces. I had to dig, but I found some bold unique fabrics. I can’t wait to share them with you soon.
Hope you all had a great New Year’s Eve and best wishes for an amazing New Year.

Introducing the Fishman dress wedding garter. A sweet bride to be and fellow Phish phan requested one so she could include her favorite band in her wedding. For the non phans out there this is the dress the drummer wears to the concerts:

I used a wedding garter tutorial on Mauby’s blog for the basics. I think it turned out great. Wish I would have thought of this for my wedding:) Congrats to the bride to be and I hope you have a lovely wedding.

Yesterday was quite an interesting day. We sold our home, but there were a few “hiccups” that prevented us from settling on our new home and moving. We are staying with my inlaws so I’m not actually homeless, but you get the idea:)
The shop has already been closed for a few days so I’m putting foot down and saying enough is enough. Thanks to a temporary sewing studio in the kitchen Weeza Wear is back open for business!!!
I don’t have all my Weezy bands listed yet, so let me know if you don’t see what you want. I probably have it. To say thanks for your patience I’m offering:
10% Off Everything in the Shop!!!
Simply type the code “Weezas Back” in the notes to seller when you check out. Thanks again and let the holiday shopping at Weeza Wear begin:)

After waiting in limbo for a year, we’re finally going to move. I am so excited. We’re living out of boxes right now, not that I mind. I’m actually typing this on a laptop on a box while I’m sitting on a futon mattress on the floor:)
One of the things I’m looking forward to the most is decorating the new house. I couldn’t wait to buy my first decoration so I had to scoop up this piece from The Steel Fork.

This sign is going to be perfect in my kitchen. Taste is also the name of a Phish song so that’s an extra added bonus.
All signs from the Steel Fork are made from recycled farm machinery. Ben and Kate, the owners of the Steel Fork, are also fellow members of Team HiP. Team HiP is a group of Etsy sellers from Pennsylvania.
Before I go I also had to share a countdown poster my little one made. Gotta love how the thing she is most excited about is a new wall. Ahhh, to be a 4 yr old:)

I can remember when a holiday was just that, one day of celebration. Now that I have a child, a holiday turns into a week long event. Not that I’m complaining:) For example, Halloween:

Tuesday was trick or treating. Our town doesn’t do it on Halloween. Weird I know, but it works for us. This was followed by a parade on Thursday and more trick or treating on Sat.

Thursday we made Rice Crispy treats for the little one’s preschool party. I wanted to do something a little crafty with her too. The bat wrappers we made were inspired by a candy bar wrapper tutorial on Skip To My Lou. This was a fun short craft that I’ll definitely do for other holidays. Snowman, Easter Bunnies, you get the idea.
Lastly, on Halloween I got to see Phish in Atlantic City! I was pretty thankful I took the little one trick or treating earlier that week so I could go guilt free. The concert was incredible and I had so much fun selling my Fishman Weezy Bands outside the venue. I’m happy to say that my costume was almost all handmade. I made the leg warmers and the skirt. The super cute tail was made by Super Rad Cape Co. The gorgeous top (which I wish you could see better in this pic) was made by MarcellaModa.

This past weekend we went to Pine Grove State Park for their First Annual Fall Fest. It a perfect day spent with friends and family. I’m sure this is going to be one of our fall traditions.

Candle Dipping

Making Apple Cider

Carving pumpkins. This is the first time I let the little one use a knife. Mommy was a little scared:)

At dusk all the Jack O Lanterns were lit and the raft floated to the middle of the lake. This was followed by the story of the "Hairy Hand" that rose up out of the lake.
So what Fall traditions do you have?
